Golden Finch Lawns is your go to for your turf pick up, delivery and installation in the Somerset region.
We have been building a network of connections in the turf industry for over 20 years now. So if there is something we don't do personally, we certainly know someone that does and does it well. We can deliver your turf and can be involved in all aspects of your turf installation.

Pick Up
We are located in the Brisbane Valley at Coominya, 202 Banffs Lane. For farm pickups, coming from Ipswich, go through Fernvale and continue over the Wivenhoe Dam wall. Turnoff at Coominya and follow signs to Atkinson Dam. Four kilometres along Atkinson Dam Rd turn right into Banffs Ln and continue over Buaraba Creek.
For shed pickup turn in past the houses.
For field pick up, we will give you instructions as it will depend upon the variety which gate you turn into.
We have all the equipment to help you load your truck, ute or trailer safely, efficiently and with the greatest of care.
Orders for turf can be placed today for pickup on farm tomorrow. Generally 50m2 of turf would weigh about 700kg. Exchange pallets 1.2m2 square are welcome.
Please bring suitable straps and tarps to ensure safe delivery of your precious cargo.
Saturday morning pickups from the shed can be arranged on Thursdays.
We have an advantage over most turf farms with a sandy loam soil which weighs much less than others. Our slabs can even be half the weight of others which make them easier to carry and to lay.
Delivery
Deliveries are made within 24 hours to Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba. A standard pallet of turf is 50m2. Our truck fully loaded carries 600m2 and we unload on site with our skid steer or forklift as close to the prepared area as possible to save you the labour. If you only need a couple of pallets we can use the smaller truck and unload it by hand.
Bigger loads can be organised on semi-trailers and we do this a lot for clients west of Toowoomba.
For really small loads we can drop at the couriers in Toowoomba for delivery.
